Spain has traditionally been one of the more popular countries for foreign investors. Recently some economist newspapers reported that in the last twenty years, more than any other country, property prices in Spain have risen much quicker. Annual growth has been reported at 17% since 2002, with increases as high as 30% in some popular areas. There are still high demands for resale and off-plan property, and the market does not show signs of resting. Experts expect prices to continue to increase for this stable and mature property market, yet at a reduced rate than in recent years.
Spain, particularly the southern region, has a wonderfully warm climate all year. This provides for a variety of outdoor activities, such as golfing (more than 26 golf courses available), water sports, stunning beaches, inspiring countryside, and a charming Spanish culture. Budget airlines offer inexpensive flights from many European airports and travelers get to Spain in about 2.5 hours for the most part.
The Spanish Ministry of Tourism forecasts that with in the next six years more than one million foreigners will call the Spanish coast home. In fact, according to Atlas International, a resent survey of British investors under 30 reports Spain number one on their list.
