OEM International Limited is the Gibraltar arm of a larger group of international companies with wide ranging experience in property investment and development in various geographical locations such as Ireland, Spain, United Kingdom and of course now, Gibraltar.
The Group is currently engaged in various commercial concerns that include:
The construction of 900 affordable dwellings for the Government of Gibraltar together with the development of luxury villas, town houses and apartment in an exclusive area of Gibraltar that will shortly be on the market. These projects represent an investment of circa £120 million that the company is committing over the next three years.
Through Spanish subsidiaries, the Group is involved in the development and construction of over 1100 villas and apartments including golf courses in the south of Spain. It is also seeking develop other large urbanisations currently undergoing different stages of planning permission. The investment in Spain is considerably larger than in Gibraltar and estimated to be in the region of £300 million pounds.
The Group was recently interested in pursuing the construction of an airport in Jimena, Spain, on land belonging to OEM worth in the region of £70 million. This ultimately did not come to fruition due to changes to the plans for the area by the local Spanish Government. This area will now be converted into a scientific park.
In Ireland, the Group owns two hotels and a golf course in Co. Kerry in close proximity to the Waterville Golf Course and plans further developments there in the future.
In the United Kingdom, the Group owns a large property in Great Windmill Street, Soho London valued at over £50 million which is the subject of an offer that is under consideration.
OEM in Gibraltar enjoys the confidence of the Gibraltar Government and has plans for various ventures in the future including the setting up of a bio-diesel plant site which it is currently negotiating.
