Argentina Country Guide

Argentina is a country in South America, situated between the Andes in the west and the southern Atlantic Ocean in the east and south. It is bordered by Paraguay and Bolivia in the north, Brazil and Uruguay in the northeast, and Chile in the west and south. Encompassing nearly the entire southern half of South America, Argentina is the world's eighth largest country, covering an area of 2.8 million square kilometers. Argentina enjoys some of the world's tallest mountains, open deserts, and inspiring waterfalls; yet is diverse with land varying from wild, isolated areas in southern Patagonia to the lively metropolis in the north of its capital Buenos Aires.
